Proud of his indigenous heritage and a deep desire to connect to our beautiful country, has led Vegas to engage, inspire and share through creative storytelling. His art depicts his family heritage, tradition and culture through modern interpretation, explosive colour with a vibrant graffiti edge. Through his art, Vegas aspires to bring awareness and respect to our unique and beautiful history.

Currently with his beautiful wife and their 3 year old great Dane, they have packed up and hit the road! Turning his art into a mobile gallery and coffee van, set up in a Vintage style caravan.

Vegas grew up with aboriginal family heritage and spent many hours listening and learning tales about the land and its value. The childhood Vegas wouldn’t have known how this would fuel his love for writing, painting and for the planet itself.

Throughout history, stories have been created to educate and communicate. As children, we are taught right from wrong, and what we need to care for and cherish. Nothing is more important than family, the environment we live in, and the animals we share it with.

Over the last several years, Vegas has focused on completing his trilogy of novels and expanding his painting ability to express his own unique perspective of the environment.

It’s not the story about Vegas or even his family though, it’s about the art and the voice behind it. It’s is about trying to show everyone’s own Australia by allowing all backgrounds to understand and appreciate the beautiful aboriginal culture that has been in this land for hundreds of thousands of years.

With a strong focus on trying to increase visibility and inclusiveness, Vegas' artworks express his love for this country and pays homage to our first people.

“I want all Australians to have part of their story told in my art, what they feel represents why they are part of this land. Indigenous art should be part of all Aussie homes, this hopefully can share the true history and open more eyes.  United is the only way forward and I hope I can express that in my art.”
